Why cant people criticize America without getting called a terrorist or getting treated disrespectfully?

First of all, every single country has, or would have, if they had the power, done something horrible to other countries. Even little old Iceland has warships shooting at fishing boats that cross into what they consider their home fishing waters. That's no excuse. While we have derived benefits from things we've done, no other country has done anything like when we fed a starving Europe after WW1 and rebuilt Europe and Japan after WW2. No other country did what we did in saving African lives from the ravages of AIDS, either. You can point to all the negatives, so how about those things we did that no other country could or would do? While racism exists everywhere, it's much worse around the world than it is here. Try being a North African in France or a Turk in Germany or a Jew or Christian (or a woman!) in an Islamic country, or being in a minority tribe in Africa, etc, etc. As for capitalism, why do you not mention the fact that the current crisis was caused by socialist programs and desires that interfered and intruded on the economy? It was not caused by capitalism, but by socialist government interference trying to give people what they had no right to, and securing it with the taxpayers' money. Bah! Humbug! You are clueless!

you are mistaken on two points. 9/11 didn't happen because we destroyed many countries. it happened so that we could destroy many countries. most ppl here want capitalism, we have been the most successful country in the world for over 200 years, I don't see why it would be beneficial to change now or ever. most ppl in this country don't have a clue about what really goes on in our govt nor do they care. they just want their tv and pizza and be left alone. if socialism works so well why are the ppl over there complaining just as much as we are.

What purpose does it serve to do this. We older conservatives are well aware of thf Government hand in hand with Big Business screwing us and everyone else. We Americans did not do this or condone this.

Because the right thinks that's a good way of keeping people quit about things they don't believe in.

maybe you will disagree but think the Bill of Rights and Constitution have been burned along time ago.We now live in a country that no longer cares about freedom.Everything from TV to the paper has been censored so much that they no longer are for the truth as it once was.We had this problem in the 60s that's why there was so much protest back then. In this generation they do alot of crying and yelling but don't have what it takes to get it done. If you want to keep jobs here then stop dropping out of school.'Get some form of college or tech training.Make things that last more than 2 years.Put the fork and knife down and throw the twinkies away.Stop the party system and focus on fixing problem stop just talking about it. Stop taxing the smokers to death they know its bad they don't need you taking their hard worked money away.I have yet to see the heavy eaters tax yet. Save your money by shopping cheaper places and if you have food stamps stop buying lobster that is not what it was intended for.If you have extra rooms think of letting homeless families stay until they get back on their feet,and this cuts homeless numbers in half. This country to me found on love,respect,and helping each other.
