Caution there are many countries that claim some form of Democracy but the people have No direct daily rule & control over money/business/govt. Plus there are variations of direct democracy. Before we find the answer, do we need to find the general standard or criteria for the judging of the best political system? and I think it's very controversial to find the best regime because all countries around the world are diverse in almost all aspects; eco, society, culture and so on. We might think that some civilizations or states have better political systems by considering the well being of their citizens, economic flow or the lower rate of crimes commited. However, there are too many different factors constituting each country for example different historical background etc. So i think It's hard to find the best one.
