Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them?

Subject: Urine Test...worth reading! Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me.I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test, with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their ***. Could you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?????

Thats not a bad idea! Actually, they should get urine tested as well as FBI background checks...why not, thats the same thing people have to do when they go for a job, why should the welfare queens not have to do it? While we're at it, lets limit the time an able body person can collect to 2 years. Also, young able body females should not continue to get a check with each kid they have. There should be a 2 year cap. If you have a kid in 2007, then another in 2009, the 2 year period should not be extended. If you cant take care of the first one, why have another?

Answer: Yes! And while we are at it...How about citizenship? I think that should also be a factor...After all, citizens deserve assistance, invading aliens need their own country to support them.

you are absolutely right. you should write your congressmen and tell him/her you would like this introduced as a bill into congress. i am going to write mine. thanks for a good idea. i am liberal but a waste of money isn't what we need now or ever for that matter. there some people who really need help, but i have no use for manipulation of the system.

Good damn idea. Haven't thought of it that way before, but hell yes. If it could be worked out where it was practical and accurate ( no false samples) I'd be all for it.

It might be something you should take up with your representatives. I do think it might be considered illegal under the constitution though.
