When did Brazil get independence?

Could the Scottish Independence vote get 'ugly' and lead to civil unrest in Scotland or/ and in England?

  • After a 'yes' vote to independence, could Scottish people who still identify themselves as British feel estranged and wish to defy their new status? After a 'yes' vote to 'devo-max', could English people feel that they are being taken for a 'financial ride' by Scotland, and force through an independence bill of their own? If after a 'yes' to independence in Scotland, could Welsh, Cornish and any other identifying regions seek full independence; and could this make the whole of the UK unstable as a result?

    Yep!

yes, I fear it could come to civil war, but hope it won't. I really would like to see a federation in the British Isles where each region or nation will have a strong voice. Things don't need to be so centralised, and the UK is one of the most centralised states in Europe.
