What do you need it for? The most common is your utilities bills, driver's license, voter registration card or a rent receipt. What about your online bank stuff or credit card info for an online purchase? Probably, you need to prove your CURRENT address. Magazines are probably not a good source for that, where the other forms of ID would be. Candace - correct, you do NOT need proof of address to file your taxes. I just filed mine online (Free Tax USA) a week ago and I ALREADY got a paper check today in the mail from the state. Fed should be along shortly. If you use direct deposit, you will get both within a week or ten days. Luck!!
