How to Map Two Tables To One Class in Fluent NHibernate?

Do Americans have civics class in school ?

  • when ever I talk with Americans it seems they have zero knowledge in political science. they don't know the differences between different political ideologies and which ideologies belong in left or right of the political map. social democrats.communists, fascists, liberals, they all think it the same names to the same political ideologies. you here stuff like the Nazis where lefties because they are called national-socialists , or that america is a republic not a democracy, and a whole other bunch or nonsense and misinformation. the use unrelated terminology, dividing the political spectrum to conservatives and liberals, when the two concepts are not related. the opposite of conservatives is progressives. and both the democratic and republican party fall under the definition of being liberal parties. Americans don't have a social democratic party at all. they have no understanding of how democracy and social care work. as they like to use definition like big government and small government, irrelevant to democracy. the correct issue is the level of public participation in government and their influence of governmental decision making . either the people have little influence and a few powerful individuals have power, the kind of government america has now, or they have lots of influence and involvement on the government, as in social democratic democracies and welfare states. the country i grew up in , Israel, is like one of the most fascist far right winged countries in the world, but even i was taught in civic class basic political science. I can understand that calling Obama and the Democrats fascists as an insult in not logical, as fascists, nationalist and Nazis are far right wingers, and the Democrats are center right on the political map, as the more reactionary Republicans are far right wingers and as such closer to the fascists then democrats. do Americans have civics class in school ? are they taught nones sense?

  • Answer:

These are all excellent points you make and, while I wish I could tell you to go f**k yourself, I can't because I know you're right. Being that you're from Israel I'm sure you only hear the loudest gasbags spew ignorance across the media universe and with the republican primaries, you're hearing the most ignorant of the lowliest most bigoted, foul mouth morons sh*ting from their faces on a 24/7 news cycle. To answer your question, yes, civics classes have been hard hit in recent decades, either removed or dumbed down for one stupid reason or another. As an American, I'm ashamed of the what we have become, the lowest common denominator of the industrialized world. What you're hearing mostly are the righties, the most bigoted, rigidly ideological, fascist, racist, backwards hate mongering trolls America as to offer, slandering their fellow Americans daily. I know you can consider what I just wrote to be slander as well but, it's the truth and every time they open their loud, frothing mouths, they put us to shame and further prove their stupidity. They call themselves patriots but can't stand the thought of living in a democracy where others matter. They call themselves patriots but can't be bothered to learn their nations history or what's truly going on and instead, get all their misinformation from FOX SPEWS. Why? I don't know, because they're really just lazy and only want to hear whatever panders to their biases and bigotry. Outside of that, many Americans are very intelligent, engaged in their world and working to make a positive difference in their communities, you just hear the loud mouth mouth breathers droning on because that's what ratings are all about.

American schooling is different state to state. Where I went to school, we were taught all of that. My friend though in another state was not. So it depends where you go to school.

Civics used to be taught. However, many states found it politically incorrect to teach patriotism and how to act in society since many groups decided that they wanted their own form of the subject taught and 'we don't want to offend minorities'. Even in your country, love of the land and its history and its importance to the population is no longer taught because it offends most of the newspapers, Peace Now, the Four Mothers, and the Supreme Court.

A little.. but it doesn't cover that stuff... it covers the political processes... the branches of the government... the constitutional stuff basically. Political parties are generally ignored because if it was covered each side would use it as evidence that the opposing side is "indoctrinating" the children. As if they don't scream about that enough as it is.
