In what way could the national debt NOT be the highest it ever was now, in a recession w/ reduced tax revenue?

This so called fix is misdirected at the real problems. Hospitals and doctors set their prices for services, not the insurance companies. The proposed taxes for paying for the 'reform' will cause small businesses to charge more and lay off workers as they scramble to get the funds to pay the government. This will cause inflation and more unemployment simultaneously, we can't do that and say it was a good move. Its been stated that it won't cover illegal immigrants, but these costs will still be passed along in what the hospitals charge for care. We need the right answer, not the quick one to fix these issues.

Unfortunately the government is being robbed and brain washed by corruptness like crazy. If just ALL of them were stopped there would probably not be a Nation Deficit. It would bring the stocks way down of the corrupt companies and too many people put money in their pockets first. Not the nation or truth.

by cutting spending.obama should give the remainder of the stimulus back to the tax payer.that would be a start.i mean after all.the economy is on it's way back without it right.
