What loopholes are there in "green" policies today? How did they get there? (SPECIFIC EXAMPLES NEEDED) +10!?
-
Especially ones that benefit companies that might have contributed to the policy or lobbied the bill. I have to write a 15 page paper about the effect of lobbyists on environmental legislation, both the good and the bad, and I'm having a hard time find any examples of corruption. Also, are there any specific companies that put up the front that they're lobbying for or are changing their behaviors to be more eco-friendly but have some sort of hidden agenda or are actually lobbying for something that isn't so "green", like to add loopholes to environmental legislation? Specific examples and details that I could use for my paper would be greatly appreciated (though honestly, I'd even appreciate something small or just the name of a bill with a loophole or the name of a company benefited, because I can always Google it to get more information later, what I really just need is names). Also, listing sources for the information would also be appreciated because it might not look so great if under bibliography on my final term paper, "Yahoo Answers" is listed as a source. But I REALLY need *specific* examples. Not just opinions. I have my own opinions for my paper (plus, it's supposed to be mostly neutral), what I need is examples of specific companies or bills that have been passed and the loopholes in them. Like I can't just say "the oil industry is hiring lobbyists" because that's too vague, especially for a paper that needs to be 15 pages. I need to be able to list a certain companies name specifically. Opinions are fine but please try to have some specific facts thrown in there too. Thank you so much to all the people that answer this, I know it's kind of a difficult question since I need specifics, but thank you to anyone that is willing to take time out and give an answer.

Answer:
The biggest "loophole" is the we are letting this science fantasy of a manufactured "crisis" affect any policy at all. There is no evidence to support the idea that carbon emissions cause significant global warming. None.
