What's a postal order?

Whats the diffrence of a domestice postal money order and a international postal money order?

  • Answer:

A Postal money order is like a check. A person "deposits" money with the post office, and another can redeem it at theirs. A "domestic postal order" can be cashed at any "domestic" post office. An "International postal order" can be cashed at any "international" post office. (Hence, if you were in Italy, and wanted to send money to Mexico, you'd need an international postal order.) Conversely, if you were in Australia, and wanted to send money to someone else in Australia, a domestic money order would work fine.
