How many hours can work if you are on Supplemental Security Income (SSI)?
-
SSI is provided through Social Security. Also I heard that the hours you work when you have SSI are supposed to be limited.

Answer:
Talk to your SSI specialist in your area. Your local Adult and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) will have them present and they will be able to tell you. Or go onto the SSI website (ssi.gov). But I think it averages out to be about 20 hours per week (it is a monthly and/or annual total). But check it out. Because I also know that if you work over, and they pay you the same amount, you will have to pay it back at the end of the year.
