California, did you see that Real ID is on the governor's desk?

  • "SB 60, the Real ID Act of 2007, recently passed the California State Assembly (it passed the California Senate in 2007). This act would bring California driver’s licenses into compliance with the REAL ID Act of 2005, which essentially mandates national id cards for all Americans.     I think it's just another step to achieve fascism. I sent a letter to the Governor, but since he endorsed McCain, who knows if he'll veto, or not. Thanks for the link.

I believe that Ron Paul is the only Member of Congress that has read the Constitution and applies it when voting. The California driver/identity card has been a national identity card for many years. Encoded on the strip are 1. Your picture 2. Your SSAN 3. A finger print 4 Your home address 5 Age Birth date etc, got the idea? Now an appointed government official can add information he/she wishes to see. Remember anything put in a data base is available to China or anybody else. What we accused the Soviet Union of we have done to ourselves. It is an internal passport. Can you get anywhere in the country without someone saying "show me your papers"?

It does not mandate a national ID. It mandates certain identification requirements to get a state ID.

F**K THE REAL ID!!! People, don't you see this is what our founders were worried about! I, too, believe it would be great for the liberty movement if Arnold vetos.
