Difference between Rush Limbaugh and Bill Maher?

• So, I’ve been hearing a lot lately that Rush Limbaugh is just like Bill Maher. While I do think there are some similarities, I find these to be the differences: 1. Maher is a comedian. Rush is not. 2. Liberals don’t take marching orders from Bill Maher. We just find him funny. 3. When Bill Maher makes jokes, they’re based on factual things. Rush completely lied about that Fluke woman. See, Bill Maher would’ve taken something she ACTUALLY said and made a joke about it. Rush simply heard a rumor about her testimony, didn’t investigate, and chose to be a pig about it -- based on NOTHING. Perhaps, since it’s not clear that Rush is a comedian, he should begin each show with a qualifier such as “This is a comedy show. The truth is optional here.” Why not? Fox sued in Florida for the right to lie on their news, so...

  I agree with you 100%. Any sane person knows Bill Maher is a COMEDIAN.....in the same vein as David Letterman, Dennis Miller, Jay Leno, and all the others. He makes topical JOKES about the days headlines........often pointing out the sheer stupidity of republicans . Its not his fault that republicans supply him with a seemingly endless supply of material. I've heard him make Clinton , Edwards, and Obama jokes too..........but they pale in comparison to the sheer amount of daily material a republican primary process provides. Beck, Hannity, Coulter and Rush......they set themselves up by sticking their feet in their mouth. People hate on Bill Maher......because perhaps they don't approve of his jokes......but he's not the one sticking his foot in his mouth 24-7. I dont not like Rush, because he isn't funny.......but because he just says stupid things.....and he's a not a comedian.....and pretends like he seriously MEANS the stupid crap that falls out of his fat mouth. With Maher.....you get his sense of INCREDULITY.....that Birthers want to be taken seriously. He's not shoving words in their mouths.......he just makes fun of people who repeat such crap. And rightly so.......because they're fools.......like Rush...with his "halfro" comment.
