Now that the "Man Made" Global warming "theory" has been put to bed?

Now that the "Man Made" Global warming "theory" has been put to bed once and for all,..how can any Government "justify" ANY taxes levied to combat it? THE world’s leading climate change body has been accused of losing credibility after a damning report into its research practices. A high-level inquiry into the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change found there was “little evidence” for its claims about global warming. It also said the panel had emphasised the negative impacts of climate change and made “substantive findings” based on little proof. The review by the InterAcademy Council (IAC) was launched after the IPCC’s hugely embarrassing 2007 benchmark climate change report, which contained exaggerated and false claims that Himalayan glaciers could melt by 2035. The panel was forced to admit its key claim in support of global warming was lifted from a 1999 magazine article. The report was based on an interview with a little-known Indian scientist who has since said his views were “speculation” and not backed by research. Time and time again,...the fraud is exposed for what it really is "A Tax". Plain ans simple TAX! But if the science is not there to support the claims,...how then can ANY tax be justified? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEmUS7PAWFw&feature=player_embedded http://www.dailyexpress.co.uk/posts/view/196642 http://www.dailyexpress.co.uk/posts/view/196681/DEBATE-Is-global-warming-just-a-con- All thoughts welcome.

Answer:
Hi Gandhi We can only assess the current situation on information to hand at any one time and then make speculations about the future. In the late 1950s and early 1960s ice floes from the North were reported to be heading South. Scientists at the time said it heralded another Ice Age. The Planet has always experienced periodic fluctuations in temperatures with people choosing to move to more hospitable lands. A significant factor now is the massive population explosion which denies most people the opportunity to migrate. The population explosion in the UK in the early 1800s saw people move from the land as it could no longer support everyone which was a prelude to the Industrial Revolution.. It is my view there will be a further significant social change as the world's population continues to expand. Best wishes.

Noted anti-global-warming scientist reverses course With scientific data piling up showing that the world has reached its hottest-ever point in recorded history, global-warming skeptics are facing a high-profile defection from their ranks. Bjorn Lomborg, author of the influential tract "The Skeptical Environmentalist," has reversed course on the urgency of global warming, and is now calling for action on "a challenge humanity must confront."

Global Warming is a Religion for many people. It doesn’t matter if you present them with facts and information. Their brains are wired to only accept that which promotes their belief system and anything to the contrary is not tolerated.

It is easier to impose a tax on something people believe in. There has developed such an industry surrounding global warming (I know people think they are just charities but they are well funded organised pressure groups) that it is hard to fight them, and why would you fight them if you can charge people tax if you don't fight them.
Thank God the northern sea ice is not really melting and the south pole ice is no breaking up in fantastic chucks and the average earth temp is not rising, and every Glacier on the globe is shrinking. Oh wait it really is, sorry about the facts.

it hasn't and only the people who don't care until it is too late think otherwise

The propaganda about global warming has done it's job well to those who refuse to believe otherwise and they are as gullible as those who believe the Tory party are the party that are going to make things better for the British economy. I have never believed the global warming theory, which is all it is. I do believe however that we face a huge crisis on the planet, and that is POPULATION EXPLOSION. This is by far a greater threat to mankind than a couple of degrees celcius increase in global temperatures. There are almost 7 billion people on the planet right now and it could double in as little as 50 years if present trends continue. That will creat a catastrophe on this earth unless someone does something about it. We cannot find homes, jobs, food and water for the present world population let alone for 14 billion people. That is far greater a threat to the survival of the human race than any threat from global warming.

There should be no taxes levied to combat it. If the government believe in man made global warming then they are responsible for it and taxes should be halfed as they have failed to do their job for the past hundred years.
