What were the New Deal Programs? I am doing a report, and I understand what they were meant to do, but what is it... if you know what i mean... please answer, very important

That's a rather complicated answer because a number of programs were proposed and enacted but the struck down by the Supreme Court, and there were also two stages of the "New Dea." Plus, in the intervening 80 years or so a lot of the programs have been modified or stopped. The biggest New Deal programs and agencies that still exist are the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), the Social Security System and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Some people think that Medicaid and Medicare were part of the New Deal, but those didn't poop up until the 1960's. They were, however, made possible by the Social Security Act which was part of the New Deal. You can read all about it here:
