How can secretary of Justice Jack Straw justify the pardon of Michael Shields?

WORTHLESS, &%#@%-to-the-infinite power* excuse for "president" has just DESTROYED the US Justice System?

  • * Insert all appropriate expletives here! The pardon of the FELON, Scooter Libby, should come as no surprise to all who have recognized GW Bush as the THIEF he's proven himself to be since before he first occupied our STOLEN White House. This is par for the course -- but it's also the straw that broke the camel's back, as I see it. To wit -- Thanksgiving, 2000 -- ABC-TV News documents with video the importation by bus of THUGS to intimidate the Palm Beach County vote-counters. December, 2000 -- Dishonest CRONIES of Bush on the US Supreme Court ensure that Bush can STEAL the White House. Bush has since proven himself to be a murderous war criminal, as the worst mass-murderer the world has experienced since Pol Pot. Over 3,300 lives of our own troops WASTED, and around 100,000 innocent Iraqis MURDERED. And NOW he has just DESTROYED all credibility that the US Justice System still had. How many of you, like me, will NEVER again accord it ANY credibility whatsoever?

  • Answer:

I am disgusted. I haven't yet checked the news and this is the first I've heard of him giving Libby a pardon. I feel physically ill. That mother****ing piece of s*it bas*ard. Really. I try not to swear too much but please... I hate the man (Bush) and I think he's evil. For years my father said that he was an evil man and for the first few I disagreed, saying he was just a stupid a**, not evil. My mind changed these past few years. He also vetoed Congress' vote for embryonic stem cell research. Ah, I hate this man. I don't hate many people, but I hate this idiot. Ironically, I just compared Bush to Pol Pot and Hitler yesterday. I think he's killed more around the area of 1 million innocents in Iraq over the past 4 1/2 years. More and more of our troops are dying as well, in the name of what? Freedom? Bull. The second Bush declared war he made it obvious that rebuilding Iraq and making it a democracy were never his motives. This man may have ruined America forever - even our former allies despise the way we've decided to police the world. And that we continue to stay is an atrocity. I read a bumper sticker the other day that said "Those who can believe absurdities can commit atrocities." Beyond the fact that Bush is a fundamentalist freak whose ulterior motives behind the attack were quite clear, the schmo actually believes that he is somehow 'helping' the Iraqis by staying in their civil war. He doesn't know Darfur from a hole in the wall. Why help countries where genocides are being carried out when he can dictate brave troops into dying for his sick agenda? He's no different than any other dictator, especially in the fact that very few people actually realize they're no longer living in a democracy. This is how almost all totalitarian regimes began. I'm glad someone is as angry as I am.

I agree, but I am not surprised. What meaning does the justice system have to these jerks? They tromp over first amendment rights. They spit on treaties. They laugh at the Geneva Convention. I am sick to my stomach. When you were a kid did your government teacher tell you that torture is the American Way? We are a disgrace.

in a handbasket

Top Contributor to Religion and Spirituality ..... very interesting expletives. Libby should of had a full and complete pardon. If you are worried about the credibility of the Justice System, Clinton already dragged that through the mud with his pardon free-for-all before leaving office.

RUSH MAKES OBAMA CRY !! A LOT !!

Oh Puhleeze...Scooter Libby should've gotten pardoned because it was actually the Valerie Plame-game and her husband that set all this crap in motion! If anything, they should be charged with all their notorious misdeeds!! Enuff said on that!!

Vignali had his sentence for cocaine trafficking commuted, after serving 6 of 15 years in federal prison. Almon Glenn Braswell was pardoned of his mail fraud and perjury convictions, even while a federal investigation was underway regarding additional money laundering and tax evasion charges.Braswell and Carlos Vignali each paid approximately $200,000 to Hillary Clinton's brother, Hugh Rodham, to represent their respective cases for clemency. Hugh Rodham returned the payments after they were disclosed to the public. Braswell would later invoke the Fifth Amendment at a Senate Committee hearing in 2001, when questioned about allegations of his having systematically defrauded senior citizens of millions of dollars. Marc Rich, a fugitive, was pardoned of tax evasion, after clemency pleas from Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak, among many other international luminaries. Denise Rich, Marc's former wife, was a close friend of the Clintons and had made substantial donations to both Clinton's library and Hillary's Senate campaign. (AND DRUM ROLL PLEASE...) Several months after her last donation, emails reveal Republican attorney "Scooter" Libby asked her to approach Clinton about pardoning Marc Rich. Clinton agreed to a pardon that required Marc Rich to pay a $100,000,000 fine before he could return to the United States. According to Paul Volcker's independent investigation of Iraqi Oil-for-Food kickback schemes, Marc Rich was a middleman for several suspect Iraqi oil deals involving over 4 million barrels of oil. Susan McDougal, who had already completed her sentence, was pardoned for her role in the Whitewater scandal; McDougal had served 18 months on contempt charges for refusing to testify about Clinton's role. Dan Rostenkowski, a former Democratic Congressman convicted in the Congressional Post Office Scandal Melvin J. Reynolds, a Democratic Congressman from Illinois, who was convicted of bank fraud, 12 counts of sexual assault, obstruction of justice, and solicitation of child pornography. Roger Clinton, the president's half-brother, on drug charges. Roger Clinton would be charged with drunk driving and disorderly conduct in an unrelated incident within a year of the pardon. He was also briefly alleged to have been utilized in lobbying for the Braswell pardon, among others.
