If I move across the country, what's the best way to move my computer and a bunch of video games and DVDs with?

If I move across the country, what's the best way to move my computer and a bunch of video games and DVDs with me? I want no hassle, I don't want "security" professionals rifling through MY belongings, and if I tried to drive I would get lost or get my car stolen or get into an accident long before I even got out of state. I want to avoid my family's help mainly because I don't want them to follow me or know where I'm going. I had a sibling who was successful at this because he left the country. What's the best way to move with my belongings and keep them in the best shape possible?
