Contiki ... ef college break ... difference beside price?
-
I went with EF tours to europe a couple years ago ... i was slightly dissapointed because of the amount of "free time" we actually had... i've always wanted to go back however, but i never thought i would want to with EF again ... I was looking into Contiki, and they seem to be pretty good with leaving you a good amount of "free time" in cities. What about EF College Break? do they also give you lots of "free time"? even with the price differences and the situations about roundtrip airfare.... i would rather spend more money if it meant i got more free time to do what i please since i have already been to some destinations. thx

Answer:
EF Tours is very different from EF College break in terms of free time. I went on two EF Tours in Highschool, and we had hardly any free time while EF College Break actually has alot of free time. There is alot of free time everywhere in the cities, with just a bit of guided tours. And you can opt to not go on the tours as well, its up to you. I use EF College Break now, because it is cheaper than Contiki, and you really do have alot of on your own time. It just not as structured as a EF Tours tour. I mean don't get me wrong, I liked my EF Tour, but EF College Break is just better. And you can also opt to go ahead, or 'stay behind' too if you want to insure LOTS of time in the places.Hope this helped. Oh ya, and EF College Break's discount code is hesseln1188, and it gets you $50 off. Have fun!

I was looking at both too, but from reviews and the people i have chatted with and the forums that i have gone to, they seem very alike in terms of free time, and travel style. With Contiki it seems like you tend to get a crowd of the older end of the spectrum; a lot of 28-35 yr olds. Food for both seems ok, with some exceptions on a few of Contiki's meals were reviewed as "very, very bad" Although that is not much of a comparison, since it seems that College break only includes breakfasts. Contiki has a lot of booze cruise references. i found a lot of stories about that online. Personally, I finally booked with collegebreak. and then i got their discount code too, it was hesseln1188 and it was a $50 discount. It took a few days to be adjusted in my invoice though, but it was reflected in it within the week. Just research before you make your decision. I certainly did.
