Non-student spring break travel destinations?

My boyfriend and I would like to go somewhere tropical and beachy for spring break trip. However, we're both 27 and want nothing to do with the "average college spring break." We want to go somewhere to relax, lounge on the beach, maybe see some sights, etc. All the normal stuff you'd do on a beach vacation, just without the psychotic spring-breakers. Any ideas where we should go? The places that are most feasible (financially, at least) are probably Mexico, Bahamas, and Caribbean. I'm just not sure of specific destinations within those countries/regions.

you should try a 3rd world country because then the hotels will be cheaper, or you can go to a place that is undergoing natural disaster (but before you go.) if you want cheap flights go somewhere close by, or if you really want something nice go to south Africa and Mauritius south Africa you can go on a beautiful safari or just stay in johanasburg or capetown and Mauritius is the nicest beach i have ever seen

Definitely check out the Riviera Maya in Mexico. One of my all time favorite resorts there is Secrets Maroma Beach. It’s an adults only all-inclusive located on one of the world’s most beautiful beaches. It’s the perfect spot to relax. I’m a foodie so I loved the wide variety food options at the restaurants. They have everything from, Mexican, Japanese, Italian and more you’ll never be bored. The drinks are also amazing, be sure to try the specialty "Drink of the Day." Good luck with your decision!

My daughter and her husband have just booked a 2 week holiday in Los Cabos Mexico at the Riu Sante Fe. I noticed in their website it said absolutely no spring breakers. http://www.riu.com/en-ca/Paises/mexico/los-cabos/hotel-riu-santa-fe/index.jsp

This past March my husband and I (we're both in our mid-20s) went to Aruba. We didn't see any spring breakers.
