Does Anybody Have Any Fundraising Ideas?

Anybody have ideas for fundraising?

  • I am trying to go to DC and Europe for a school trip. I have a job, but I also have rent and other bills.

    First off--scrape one of the trips if you can. Either go to Europe or DC. Not both. If you're flying into DC to get to Europe, see if you can fly in later and avoid having to spend money there. Next--I wouldn't call this "fundraising." This is called "I want to go on a trip with my school." Sell what you can. Take extra shifts. Do NOT write to family members and friends unless you are going to Europe and DC to do good for others. If you're going to just site-see, then forget about.

Write letters to small and big companies in your area and put in there why and how come and always put in there any amount will help. Also your school may have a club that will allow you to do that under a nonprofit tax exempt status. Good luck and send me a post card.

Because you pay rent I can assume you are living an adult life,, have you applied at the college to see if a student loan could be obtained? I would hope you checked into scholarships within your department since the trip is applicable to your major. Possibly, you can band together with others and wash cars or sell services (bake cakes,repair bikes) on campus advertising that the funds are to be used for the trip. If you run adds in the paper to do small jobs at a reasonable price.. older people need help with things like light bulb changing and refrigerator cleaning and dog walking.Good luck... Hope you go
