Do you think Red Roof Inn would hire a 17 year old?

What can I do for my Gap Year when I'm under 18?

• I am currently 16 years old. However, I've worked really hard in school and I'm on track to graduate by November, around the time that I'll turn 17. The school that I'm going to is in London, and you have to be at least 18 to enroll. Because of this, I have decided to take a Gap Year in between. The problem with this is that I'm obviously not old enough to do a plethora of things at 17. - I'd technically be allowed to travel alone or with some friends, but would that be safe? And we wouldn't be old enough to rent a car in Europe. If we or I did this, we/I would stay in hostels. - I have been also thinking about a traveling company that is geared toward young adults, but I'm afraid that my age might be a problem here as well. Do you have to be 18 or older to take tours like these? - I also thought about getting a job on a cruise ship, but since you can't go on a cruise alone until you're like, 21, I doubt they'd hire a 17-year-old. I'm including this to give you a general idea of what I'd be okay doing. If you can think of ANY other possible options for my Gap Year, I would be extremely grateful.   suggestion would be to backpack Europe stay in hostels, use public transportation, go with some friends buy something like a Eurail pass to lessen expenses
