What should I do for my 18th b-day?

Next year Im planning to go to either Bora Bora or Italy for my 18th bday-what should I do to make it happen?

• By 18th bday is until march of next year but Im already planning to go to borabora or italy with my family. My family is very supportive of this trip and they said they would love to make it happen. My family is the type though to say yeah its a good idea! lets do it! but then when the day actually comes they say no cause of money. I really want to make sure it happens. So what can I do to make sure this trip happens? I should be saving money right? Or maybe plan out all the expenses? If anyone has any ideas please let me know! thanks! ive never been out of my country before!

  Italy would probably be more affordable, especially for a family. When we went to Bora Bora 3 years ago we (my husband and I) spent $3,000 just on airfare from the US to Tahiti (then we had to spend another $800 or so for flights to Bora Bora). The hotels there are very expensive, as are the food and the activities. It's not really a family vacation spot - it's full of couples on their honeymoons.
