Why do ppl want to immigrate to other country?

Which is the best country to immigrate to?

  • in your opinion, for an indian sick of his corrupt, conservative, uncivilized country and want's to live a liberal, modern life, with low taxes, which is the best country to immigrate to especially in 4-5 years. my first choice was the US but after the recession its economy is going down. I'm doing an undergraduation in engineering now in one of the top indian institutes. I shall finish the course in 4 years. later i want to do an MBA from a good B-school in a developed country which satisfies the above country and settle there for the rest of my life. which would be the best place?

  • Answer:

Engineering degrees/MBAs are in high demand - they're still one of the few that show good staying power in the current US economy. However 'liberal + low taxes' doesn't exist. I'd want to hit the ground running after university, so that means staying within English speaking countries. Canada, US, and Australia might be good choices. Good luck.

It's your duty to stay and try to improve your mother country. India has many problems - especially the corruption, the shocking poverty and and the indifference of the upper and middle classes. It's good that you aren't turning a blind eye to these issues, but the only way things will improve is for people like yourself to change it from within.

It's a matter of which countries will admit you. You can forget all of the EC countries plus the USA, Canada,Australia and New Zealand. All of these have made migration impossible for all except the most skilled and experienced. At present you would not qualify for any of these. Get yourself qualified and 2 or 3 years practical experience then review your position. Once qualified you might consider one of the expanding countries of south-East Asia, Singapore perhaps.

Canada has a thriving economy and otherwise is similar to the US. Also Sweden is somewhat similar to Canada's economy and infrastructure but has more government regulation. Ultimately it's up to you!
