How many countries are there in the world?

If you stay 1 week for every country, how many weeks will you need to travel all countries in the world?

  • im planning to propose to my girlfriend and i know that she really wants to go around the world. so im planning to give her the best honeymoon ever by bringing her to all the countries of the world. so i was wondering how many weeks will it take complete this?

This is a traveler that you can join if you have been to over 100 countries. I think they do have a member that have been to all countries in the world!! So, In short, it will take you over 6 years (320 weeks) if you stay 1 week for every country!

First define what is a country. Depending on you definition there can be up to about 300 but it doesn't really matter as you can't visit them all. How do you plan to visit North Korea for instance ?

There are lots of small countries. Pretty sure you'd need at least a couple of years to complete your journey, although I think you'd need twice that.
