Where to go for vacation?
-
Im 15 and my mom and I are planning on taking yearly vacations. I want some ideas on where to go! I am into history, not like civil war history but WAY back, like Pompeii, etc.so i of course want to go see it, and i want to sight see and stuff. But i don't want to go to tokyo to just walk around, you know what i mean? i would rather go somewhere like italy where i can sight see but it has like a history to it. So far we were thinking, France (im taking french so i want to go) Italy Germany Spain Australia Greece Rome (i know some of these places are located in some i listed, oh well) i also want to go to some places like California, New York and Tenn. oh and disney because its amazing so yeah i do wan to go and have fun and shop and sight see but i want it to have some meaning, if that makes any sense at all. so i want to go see some historical places like in Europe but i also want to go do stuff like go to disney, basically im up for anything. I just want some more ideas, if you have been to lets say italy, and know a good place to go to, or thing to do let me know! or if you know any other places in the U.S we should go to :)

Answer:
How about you try visiting the Bali Island in Indonesia. Especially if you love the beach as well as surfing and scuba diving, I think you would enjoy it there with your family. Try renting a villa for added exclusive services.

Hah I'm into the same stuff you are! Pompeii sounds amazing and I really hope I get to go in a few years! But anyways... Outside the US: • Definitely go to France. I always thought it was kind of overrated (especially Paris) but I went there this past Summer and it has probably been the best place I've ever visited! You'll have a great time there... obviously go to Paris, but also be sure to visit Normandy/Omaha beach too. A lot of (somewhat recent) history there. The Eiffel tower is also amazing and worth the long lines. • Venice is another great place in Italy; you should really consider visiting Venice as well as Pompeii, Rome, Florence, Milan, Sicily, Naples, etc. • Machu Picchu (in Peru) has some fantastic ruins • Ireland is beautiful and has some extremely historical sites, castles, etc to see. Make sure you visit Cahersiveen and Dublin if you go... I was only there for a few days but it was beautiful! • The Iguazu Waterfalls on the Argentina/Brazillian border • Cape Town in South Africa... or visit anywhere in Africa for that matter! • Egypt to see the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx... although I'm not sure how safe it is to visit Egypt • Tikal in Guatemala • Amsterdam (Netherlands) is also a great place... it's just really pretty. There's some history, but mostly I would go to walk around the city and just see how different it is. I was only there a few days as well but I would definitely say it's one of the most beautiful, friendly cities ever. In the US: • Colorado is amazing. The mountains are absolutely gorgeous, and I think it's one of the most beautiful places in the US. If you're into some cool ruins, go to Mesa Verde (it's these gorgeous cliff dwellings that you get to walk right along). Also visit the sand dunes there, go up Pike's Peak (a huge mountain) and go to cities like Boulder, Denver, Aspen, Breckenridge (great skiing if you go in the winter), and Colorado Springs. There's so much to do there... I'm 16 (from Pennsylvania) and we've been there 4 times already just because it's so awesome. There's also some great camping there too • Disney World is just awesome. Also go to Harry Potter World if you're into that stuff. • Hawaii, obviously • San Francisco in California isBeautifull! • Burlington, Vermont is also a great place... it doesn't sound all that special but when you see it, it's absolutely gorgeous! • The Adirondacks in New York • New York City • Chicago is a cool city too... if you go, make sure you see the "Cloud" statue... it's sooooo cool! • The Outer Banks (North Carolina) Have fun!
