Is it possible to hike up the Himalayas?

Is it possible to hike in Iceland in early april?

• I'm going to Iceland with my school in the end of march and im thinking about staying there a week more. Since I love hiking, I want to know if it's possible to do any hiking that early? If not, can you recommend activities for a couple of 18-19 year old guys. And preferable something cheap :) Thank you!

  When you first arrive and travel in from Keflavik airport you will think you have landed on the moon! Watch for the insulated pipes across country - the geothermal water that provides the electrical power and hot water! A geothermal power station is on your left on the way in. I assume your school will go on the Golden Circle which is the main group trip and ideal if you are studying geography. If not do it! You must go swimming at the Blue Lagoon - unbelievable! Cheap swimming in the public pools in Reyjavik - like the Blue Lagoon uses geothermal water! Visit the Reykjavik Cathedral. You may not be religious but it is such a beautifully simple building you cannot be unimpressed! If the snow is still deep go on a Snow safari in a Super Jeep. May be to expensive for you but get Mum/Dad to finance you for an unbelievable experience. Alternatively join one of the snowmobile trips to the glacier near the volcano that caused all the air travel trouble a couple of years ago. There are many specialist travel companies, they will be able to take you hiking in surroundings you just can't believe! We stayed in wooden cabins on an Icelandic horse breeding station in the north of the country! Try the hot dogs - same brand everywhere - best in the world! BEWARE the word cheap does not exist there - everything is EXPENSIVE as in VERY! So take 3 times what you were going to. You will either love it - or hate it! If you love it beware - it will make you want to explore other fascinating places in the world like us!
