What to do in Jackson Hole?

What do you think of Jackson Hole, WY?

  • Right, so I've booked a family holiday to Jackson Hole in Wyoming. There's four of us; my wife, our two children and me. We are flying to JAC next February (2012) from Heathrow. We booked a holiday home for two weeks via the site Holiday Rentals. I am just wondering what Jackson Hole is like, we've never been there before but our friend's reccomended it. I have seen pictures of it and it looks amazing! We are into are hiking so I'd say JH is a great destination. Would you?

  • Answer:

Jackson Hole is amazing. It's quite the tourist area, more congested in the wintertime though. There are tons of shops, very expensive. There's skiing and sledding. There's an Elk Refuge right outside of town where you can take a sleigh ride through it. Teton National Park is maybe 15 miles from there and Yellowstone is about 30 miles, although during the winter, you're unable to go through most of the park. There are snowmobiling activities that will take you through Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, and a few other awesome places.
