Where is a good place for a vacation the summer before starting college?

• I will be starting college in August, and I really want to take a vacation somewhere before I have to settle down into reality. I have one idea so far, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. There's a company called Aspire by API, and they offer a summer trip to Costa Rica for one week, but it costs $1,990 plus airfare, so it is kind of out of reach for me at the moment.
