Where is the best place to travel in US during August?

Yep, the air is hot in the summer, and the water has bacteria counts that are too high. I would go north of the U.S. and try Canada. I hear the Maritimes (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island) are becoming very popular. Although you could consider the mountains of Northern New England, Montana, Idaho, and Washinton. Have a great vacation!!!

I agree with what's already posted: -Colorado (higher elevations) -New England (specifically near the coast)

Go to Newport, Oregon, on the Oregon coast. There is plenty to see and you won't be hot at all. There is a marine science center for free, a great aquarium nearby, fishing from charter boats on the bay and even go crabbing for a small fee.
