Salt lake city. unless you absolutely need to be slope side, find a regular hotel that you can use points at in salt lake. it is within an hour or less of 6 major resorts, and if you don't want to rent a car, most places have shuttles going to the city

Park City, which is not that far from Salt Lake City. Park City is also the home of the Sundance Film Festival.
