    Great area.Adjacent to Cocoa Beach,Port Canaveral Indialantic Beach,Satellite Beach and just North of Vero Beach.Downtown Melbourne has become a hot night spot with great clubs and dining.Also try the Typhoon on Wickam,a really great Japanese Restaurant,Sweet and Salt,a great Polish Restaurant,also on Wickam.The Charter House in Eau Gallie.All the other standard chains are here also-Chillies, TGIFridays,Bennigans.Just up the road in Cocoa Village is Cafe Margaux,Murdocks(great,casual,fun,place)… Cocoa Beach there is Yen-Yens and the Heidelberg(Chinese and German).At Port Canaveral there is an entire complex of dining establishments and,of course the two gaming ships-free (unless you loose).Don't miss the space center and the beaches.

Babcock Street, which runs through the hearts of both Melbourne and Palm Bay, used to have some good restaurants. In the white two-story plaza immediately south of FIT (University Blvd.) is a fantastic cafe and grocery called Middle Eastern Aromas. It's a nice, cozy place that will feed your senses along with your tummy. The food is delicious! I highly recommend their homemade baba ganouj and tabouli. Further south just past the Malabar Road intersection in Palm Bay is a great Chinese place called Wonder Wok. They serve traditional Asian favorites with a distinctively northern provincial flavor. Depending on what your entertainment tastes are, there's places to see and things to do. Nearby West Melbourne is home to Melbourne Square Mall (a Simon property). West Melbourne also has a very nice multiplex movie theater. I don't know if the old discount Twin Cinemas, also in W. Melbourne, is still open. It used to be RHPC city back in the day. On the aforementioned Babcock Street in Melbourne is the Andretti fun center. It boasts go-carts, an arcade, and other activities. Old Downtown Melbourne is charming in its historical perspective. Al Capone is said to have spent time there in the 20's. And let's not forget that Melbourne is only minutes away from the Intracoastal Waterway, beaches, and rivers. If fishing, water skiing or surfing is your thing, you won't be disappointed.
