How long will it take to get my australian visa?

ok so im a us resident originally from mexico and i sended my passpoprt to the australian embassy to get my visa (overnight shipping). how long will it take to get my visa from them because i need it before july 31 because im leaving that day and i need a visa to enter australia. please answer i will thank you so much.

Did you indicate on the application that you were departing on July 31st? They are generally fast however, in the future, you might want to consider the services of a Visa Service that will hand carry the passport and application for you and that can be done in a day. Call the Consulate and check on their work load. If you have already sent it in they generally issue the Visa and have it back to you within a week's time. You are off season for Australia so it is their winter and the number of visa applications is not as bad as it is during our winter.
