What is living on Hamilton Island like?

Living on Long Island, thinking about moving to...?

• I was born + raised on Long Island, NY. Definitely a lot more fast paced than most places I've been to. People are more fast-paced, if that makes any sense. Also, a LOT more expensive than most places. For a one bedroom apartment in an apartment complex, I am paying $1300 not including utilities. I am a college student, spending some of my savings little by little, and getting more scared by the day to be completely broke with no more savings left to my name. Basically I have a choice I need to make. My best-guy-friend is moving to Rhode Island (a much cheaper place), and he has asked me to move with him. Not even in the same apartment, just to that state, and we'd live in separate places. He has no family on Long Island anymore, and he has a friend in Rhode Island, so it's much easier for him to move. I have family on Long Island, and no friends in Rhode Island. So it'd be a bigger adjustment for me... But it'd be a lot cheaper and easier to live. And only a 3 hr drive from LI to RI. I'm nervous because this guy likes me, even though I've made it clear we'll only be friends and he knows that. But it's hard because if something happened to our friendship or if he found another girl that he was into, I'd feel completely alone. Even though I know I'd find my own friends eventually. But I'm just a little scared. He has to move within the next week, and he told me if I were to move with him, he'd pay the rest of my lease on LI and pay to move all my stuff out to RI. He said that way if I don't like RI, I could pay to move back and not have spent all that money to move out there. So it's a pretty sweet deal.... I would love any suggestions or advice. If you have any input at all please let me know. Thank you.

  Yeah, it's a pretty sweet deal with a lot of strings attached. If your "best" guy friend likes you, he is not "your best guy friend", he's a guy who wants to get in your panties. and if you don't want him in your panties, you should stay where you are.
