What places should I visit in Texas?

What places to visit for Texas Road Trip?

  • I would like to go on a road trip with a couple of friends around Texas during spring break 2012. We live in Houston and we wish for our trip to last about 4 to 5 days. Any suggestions to where what state parks to visit, or any other amazing places you recommend. Additionally we would like to camp (we have tents), for a bout 2 days. Any out door activities that you suggest along with it. Thanks!

  • Answer:

there are too many interesting places to visit in a week, and it depends on your interests as to what you want to do. Tyler State Park is a very nice place to camp. If you like caverns you can visit several around the San Marcos/San Antonio area. If you like museums the best are in Ft.Worth. Dallas is a large city and like Houston there are lots of activities for young people. If it is spring break Six Flags will be open. Austin is interesting with the capital building and state cemetery. Have you been to NASA? That is a very good day trip, and the San Jacinto monument and battlefield are things close to home.
