Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do to persuade your parents to move to Florida. The state was hit hard by the recession. Many businesses have closed. Unemployment remains stubbornly high and isn't expected to return to normal until the middle of 2016. People are fleeing the state everyday. Moving to Florida is not feasible right now and your parents know and understand this better than you do. Florida is not as hot as some of you are implying. What makes it seem hot is the high HUMIDITY. Average highs in the summer are in the low 90's and if you think that's hot, go to Arizona.

Your best option for getting to Florida may be one of the following: 1. Start helping in your family business. Your family may be able to take some time off and go to Florida for a vacation. 2. Get very high grades in high school so that you can get a good scholarship for a college in Florida. Also, it is VERY hot in Florida during the summer. It is much more pleasant in Indiana from about March through October.

So your mom has said no, your dad has said it's not possible, and you want us to magically convince them? Sorry, fresh out of ideas. And magic.

Haha I don't understand why anyone would want to move to florida O.O its super hot and blehh here but if you insist... I guess the big thing that is stopping you guys from moving is your parents business. Typically people go where they have jobs. Not only would it be dificult to sell or relocate their buisness they would have to make sure they can support the family once they moved to florida. About the cando and beach aspect. There are several lovley suburban areas around 30min away from the beach. Close enough to go often but far enough away. It's all about the gated communities. If you really want to move to Florida the best bet would be college. Get your grades up and work for it. Theres plenty of schools there from UF to FAU it all depends where you want to go. Considering you're 14 you can try telling your parents you really want to go to college in florida and they may consider moving there for instate tuition (because you have to live there for I think two years to qualify) but honestly all the stress your parents would have to deal with for such a big move. Trust me I've learned from experience... almost every state gets boring after a while.

Unless your parents can get Jobs there you cannot just move there. Time to wake up to Reality- there is a Major Recession going on and High Unemployment in the usa Moving/getting a place to live cost $$$$$$$ and Jobs are Hard to find Why not try to be more postive and helpful to your parents and stop Wanting something you Can't have at this time

Usually people go were their jobs take them. I know people who live in Canada but they are Americans because of were they found a job. You really can't just move simply because you hate it there. If you want them to move you have to give them a good reason financially.

....Your parents have been around longer than you, know better,.besides the whole world has moved to florida,it,s crowded, there.

You can't. Especially since they own a business. Someday YOU can move there, if you still want to and can find a job there.
