The English are great! If you want to come and see natural beauty, come to Minnesota. We are the land of 10,000 lakes. (more like 13,000, actually). Minnesota also has a rich Native American history. The name Minnesota is Indian, as well as many other cities/towns/lakes/rivers in the state. Here is a link to Minnesota tourist site:

Colorado--I have never been there but the brochure looks nice. I think Americans generally have a good inpression of English.

Lake Tahoe, northern California / Nevada It´s beautiful both in summer or winter. And make sure you visit Emerald Bay. Just breathtaking...

Go to the Blue Ridge Mountains and drive along Skyline Drive in Virginia. It is God's own country! Beautiful any time of year!! Great photo opportunities! Texas is also very diverse in it's scenery.

Montana! Lakes, rivers, trees, high mountains and great plains--and a super place to learn about the Native Americans, since the Plains Indians have a lot of their historical data--artefacts, photographs, exhibits of every kind--you can see in many places around Montana. A great national park [Glacier] is astonishing to see for the first [or any] time and would more than fill your order for 'trees/lakes/rivers'! As for what Americans think of the English? Well many of us have ancestors who were English, some [like me] still have family over there we still know and keep up with...and what's not to love about a country that gave us Beckham AND Shakespeare? To say nothing of Scotch eggs, Welsh rabbit, Irish stew and Cornish pasties -- :)

I'd say to go to New England (Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine)!! You can fly into Boston which is a very nice city with lots of charm. Go to New Hampshire and Vermont which are very beautiful. Then head up to Maine and get some Lobster!! Lobstah...lol.

We love the English. Great allies and friends for a long time. Great accents. Really depends on the time of year you are visiting. I'd say California for the widest variety. From Yosemite to Joshua Tree, Monterey to Sequoia, you'll see about everything and almost anytime of year is good. In the summer, Acadia in Maine is very nice. Mammoth cave and the Land Between The Lakes area of Kentucky is very rural and quiet. In winter, the Everglades in Florida is nice and warm.
