Where is best best place in america to live and why?

  Again, the San Francisco Bay Area is the best, especially for the first two. We have really good weather all year round. It never snows, and during the summer it is it's warm but not too hot. In California, you are guaranteed to see the sun for most of the year. In terms of culture, only New York can rival The Bay Area. The Bay Area is the most diverse population in terms of ethnicity and culture in the U.S. In the city of San Francisco alone you have Chinatown, Japantown, the Mission (a traditionally hispanic neighborhood) and Little Italy. You have the Haight-Ashbury which was at the center of the counter-cultural movements of the late 60s and 70s. This is just the city of San Francisco alone, there are still many other great cities in the Bay Area like Berkeley, Oakland, and San Jose. In terms of raising kids, I feel that it's a great place for kids to grow up among a diverse population, but there are some really bad schools, especially in Oakland.
