What is the best ski resort in the Pocono?

Best ski in ski off Utah or Colorado resort?

  • Looking for a place to ski next February that has ski on ski off accomadations that will not completely break the bank. Any suggestions?

  • Answer:

I'm partial to Utah over Colorado. I've skiied just about every resort in both states and Utah has never disappointed me. Salt Lake City (and SLC aiport) is as close to the mountains as you can get anywhere in the US; about 25 to 35 minutes. Flying into Denver means driving over an hour to the closest resort. Also, Utah gets WAY more snow than Colorado. With Utah, you have about 13 resorts to choose from, all within an hour's drive, whereas going to Colorado means choosing one resort to ski for your vacation. Best Ski in/Ski out resorts in Utah: Snowbird/Alta resorts (receive about 550 inches of snow/year and are challenging mountains to ski, if that's what you're looking for...25 min drive from SLC). Park City has three resorts (Deer Valley, Park City Resort, and The Canyons) which all feature ski in/ski out and an awesome night life right there in the city. A 35 minute drive from SLC Int'l Airport. www.skiutah.com www.snowbird.com www.parkcity.com (has links to PC resorts) (I could go on forever, so if you have more questions, just ask)
