What is the weather like in NC this month?

Im goint to charlotte, NC on december 27 and i want to know how is the weather on that time of the month?

• I'm from puerto rico so i'm not use to the cold weather at all. I'm also would like to know if there is a train there and if i can go on a road trip from charlotte to virginia or another state that's close.

  I don't really know that much about trains, but a great road trip would be to Asheville, NC, which is in the mountains, and a very beautiful place. It's about a 2-3 hour drive from Charlotte. Be sure to visit the Biltmore House, especially at Christmas time. As for the weather, it will probably be cold, and you will need a warm coat, hat, thick socks and gloves. And then again, we might be having a warm spell; in that case, a light jacket will suffice. Virginia is quite a bit farther, but the interstate highways will get you there the quickest. If we are having snow/ice, forget travelling on the roads!
