What is there to do in Minnesota that is not super expensive?

What else is there to do in the Mall of America (Minnesota) area?

• my sister and i are thinking about flying there from California this summer. but i don't think there's much else to do in Minnesota when we are done at the mall. We'll probably spend 1 day at the mall but then what? we were thinking about maybe taking a train or flying to Canada since Minnesota is right on the boarder of Canada. What do you guys think? has anyone been there before or live in Minnesota?

  I live in Los Angeles and I have been to the Mall of America there is no reason for you to go. The Mall of America is not a really good mall. It's like the Cerritos Mall in Cerritos, CA (ok, but nothing to write home about). Not anywhere as nice as South Coast Plaza or Fashion Island. The Mall of American has the most number of stores = 400 stores. But it has 2 of most stores so there is really only 200 stores to bother going to. There are only a handful of stores that we don't have here and all but 2 or 3 are just touristy stores.
