What are the best states in the US to visit and why?

What US States are nice to visit during the summer?

  • Besides the usual Florida, California, and New York, where are some other places that are nice to visit? I was thinking somewhere really beautiful and green, or somewhere with a lovely beach. Remember, only places within the United States. Thank you!

    I just got back from Texas and I loved it. Believe it or not, despite the heat the eastern and southern part of the state is very green and beautiful. I'm from northern California so I'm very critical when it comes to scenery. The beaches in Texas were a bit of a disappointment at first glance, in Galveston the water has a brownish tint but once you get in you realize it's still clean. The best beaches are south of Corpus Christi. I've also heard that North Carolina is a lovely place with even more lovely beaches. I particularly love southern summers, just be sure of what you're getting yourself into if you go; make sure you dress for the heat and humidity.

Washington D.C., Nevada, West Virginia. I live in Utah and it's really beautiful. If you're into skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, camping, lots of outdoor things, Utah is a great place to visit. The mountains are amazing and there's a lot of green and flowers. If you're looking for more entertainment type things to do, I would go to California, Florida, New York, or Chicago.

I always enjoy goi- never mind..I didn't read your full question and didn't noticed you said besides florida and california. Um... You could come down to pensilvania...Lake Erie down here is nice, and you can do some cool things at seven springs resort, its also a nice place to ski at seven springs in the winter, and you can also go to ceder point. But its not exactly the most exciting place. BETER ANSWER: Go down to south carolina, Myrtel Beach was one of my favorite facations, Fantastic beach.

South Carolina if you want a beach..West Virginia (my state) has beautiful scenery, maryland also for a beach (ocean city)

Before Ohio was really settled, a squirrel could run from tree to tree over the entire state. Ohio has lots of parks and outside things to do for cheap. lots of state parks.
