What is the most appropriate method of oak furniture transportation from North Carolina to Tennessee?

Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, N. Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, S. Carolina, or Texas?

  • Which of these Southern states do you like best? Least? And why? (Okay, so it's an insult to true Southerners to call Kentucky "Southern," but UK is part of the SEC and Jefferson Davis was born there, so I went on and included it.) Most: -Texas: It's like a whole other country! What a great state! You have deserts, beaches, prairies, green hills, sprawling lakes, and forests all in the same state. Friendly folks, too! -Tennessee: friendly, nice scenery, music heritage, Smokies -Alabama: very friendly, Birmingham is neat, love the beaches -Mississippi: friendly, scenic! -Georgia: a lot like Ala., Atlanta has much to offer -N. Carolina: gorgeous mountain scenery Least: -Kentucky: some of the rudest, most scroungy and impolite people ANYWHERE. I've lived there, it's AWFUL! Louisville, in particular, is very snooty. -S. Carolina & Arkansas: I'm sure they have a lot of good qualities, but they just struck me as being really dirty. (At least folks in Arkansas are nice, though.)

  • Answer:

Why are you so judgemental? I happen to live in Kentucky with my husband and children. We are neither rude, "scroungy", impolite, or snooty. As a matter of fact there are very few people I know who fit these catagories. Anywhere you live in the USA, you are going to find diversities, whatever they might be. That is what sets the US apart from other countries is our wide variety of people, cultures, beliefs, etc. And its our freedom to do so. You will find good and bad anywhere you go. You can't judge a whole state just by experiences you've had in maybe just a few cities.

arkansas my far! yes the majority was idiots at the polls to elect clinton but there are enough good inteligent people here to make up the diference. my advice is to buy an old beat up pickup truck, move way back in the hills, buy some good coon dogs, plant a garden, buy a old shack and a rocking chair, leave the cannibus growers growers alone, find a source of good moonshine whisky, then kick back and enjoy a real life!!!!

I am from Mississippi, so I guess I would have to vote for the home state. Really though all of those places have a beauty that you can admire. However, I have discovered there are parts of Texas I will be very happy if I never have to see again.

I hope it makes you feel good to offend thousands of people in the United States. This Kentucky native wouldn't dream of offending people like you have.

I agree with you about Louisville...but we lived further south (on Fort Knox) and people were very friendly in hardin county. Tennessee is full of racist bigots and they don't even try to be subtle about it. The *n* word is regular vernacular there. I haven't been to Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia or the Carolinas...so I couldn't say...but Texas is AWESOME. I loved it when I went there last winter...I drove all over eastern Texas and loved it.

Arkansas I have been here and like visiting I never been to the other states mentioned here,

Tennessee is the best that is why we chose to live there. The only state I haven't been in is Arkansas so I can't say anything about that one. Can't say I dislike any of them.
