US Tourist Visa Chances?

• Hi, I want to apply for a tourist visa however the consultant at a travel agency told me I wont be approved because I'm still 22 years old and single - according to the consultant, the consul would think I'll marry an American citizen so that I'd be a permanent resident. But I'm currently a student here in the Philippines and I can provide a bank statement showing how much money I got when we had our lands sold. Secondly, I just got my Passport and haven't traveled any country yet. The consultant suggested that I travel other countries first so that the US Embassy would have a good impression of me going back to my homeland before my visa expired. From my on perspective, I do have a lot of reasons to come back if given the chance to visit the USA. My family is here in the Philippines and again, I'm currently a student. The reason I want to visit America is because I was invited by a very close friend who is now a US citizen and I wish to meet my Dad (who by the way can't petition/sponsor me since he used another name and was single when he applied for his visa AND he has a new family there). What are the other things that I need to do in order for me to have a US Tourist Visa? Unfortunately, our country is not one of those that are on the Visa Waiver Program due to Filipinos overstaying after their visa had expired. Hoping to hear from you. Thanks

  You have no chance, as a single, unemployed Pinay of getting a visa to the USA to visit a "friend." A simple paternity test is all that will be required.
