Does the united states of america suck?

I works for me: We just elected our first non-white president. Hopes are running high. Economy is in the toilet, however, like everyone else. Education can be great or not, depending on what you do with it. In some ways, the system here is failing, but it has it great points. Government fluctuates from decade to decade. Right now the democrats are in power. Last time they were in power, the economy was flourishing. We'll have to see what happens. But overall, it's excellent because it truly is the land of opportunity. Notice I said it's not the game show network. You have the opportunity to succeed here, but it's not handed to you. You have to work for it. Greatest country in the world, for that reason alone.

That's a tough question. I looked at all the responses and am in agree with Steve from NC. Everyone comes to the US when they are in trouble... Our economy is really down but we will make adjustments and survive. Does the US suck? No. Do some of the governments and policies suck? yea. No country is perfect. We have our faults. However, if people come to our country and complain about things, my suggestion is...go back to your country.
