Is shopping in Buffalo cheap?

Shopping in Buffalo! comming from ontario?

  • I'm planning a trip from Toronto to Buffalo. Pretty much to go shopping. I never been to Buffalo before, only passing through. I need to know the best places to shop, near Targets and Walmarts etc.. I'm going in AUGUST by the way. So what would the best way to go? --> also, would it be best to drive or take a greyhound? what would the prices be like?! would you recommend staying in hotel or just one day shopping?! any tips or anything would be so great! :) thanks guys!!

if you stay overnight, you can bring back more stuff duty free, so it may be worth it depending on how much you are going to spend http://www.peacebridge.com/dutyfree.php#CNDallowance . I can give you an idea of a trip to visit most of the malls and stores in the area. I'll start you off in Niagara Falls NY- the Fashion Outlets http://www.fashionoutletsniagara.com/ this seems to be the most popular destination among Canadian shoppers. It is only a few minutes away from the border and I swear ontario license plates outnumber NY plates. Right next door to the Fashion Outlets on Military Rd is a brand new Super Walmart they just opened up like last year. If you take Military to Niagara Falls Boulevard, there is a Target right there too. All three places are within a few miles of eachother. Niagara Falls Boulevard is a pretty long road that has a few sections with a good amount of stores. Right in that Target area are a few stores, and as you head to the town of Amherst(your next destination), the number of stores decreases until there's really nothing, and when you approach the Amherst area it ramps back up with a ton of stores As I said, take Niagara Falls Boulevard all the way to the Amherst area.... its about 15-20 minutes away. There are a shitload of stores there. First you'll hit a plaza with a Walmart and Home Depot. I recommend going to that Walmart.... there seem to be better deals on clothing at this Walmart compared to the Super Walmart near the Fashion Outlets. Continuing on Niagara Falls Boulevard is a large plaza.... there's a Target(larger than the one near the Fashion Outlets), a Best Buy(electronics), Babies R Us, Golf Galaxy, Barnes and Noble(books), Christmas Tree Store, Lowes(home improvement), Old Navy(clothes), AC Moore(crafts), and some more that I'm forgetting lol. If you continue on Niagara Falls Boulevard, you'll continue to see some plazas with more stores. You'll eventually run into the Boulevard Mall http://www.boulevard-mall.com/ After that, hop onto the thruway heading east to get to the Walden Galleria. its by far the largest mall in the area and has(and still is) going under renovations for some more upscale places to shop(and eat?). This is my favorite mall.... definitely check it out http://www.waldengalleria.com/ there's a target close by that mall too. Have fun shopping, And I answered your previous question about the back to school crowds... go early august to avoid it.
