What do you guys think of upper Darby, PA?

Moving to Orlando FL from Stroudsburg PA, I need an advice?

• Folks I am making 95k a year in stroudsburg PA. I got an offer to move to Orlando FL for 82K with full benefit. What do you guys think about that?. I have lived in the northeast for 5 years and i do really need to move out, but i am little bit worried about this change. What do you think about it?. Is Orlando a nice place for a couple in the late 20th with an infant?. Please guys, advise? Where to rent an apartment in Orlando?

  With an infant, I'd stay in the Northeast. Schools in Florida are notoriously awful. Pennsylvania treats schools so well, that it is the only state in the nation that doesn't have a problem getting teachers. Orlando has a crime rate of 887.5 (the higher the worse). The national average is 320.9 and East Stroudsburg has a rate of 220.6 (Stroudsburg itself is too small to be rated). Plus you're taking a 13.7% cut in pay. While you pay state and local income tax in PA these generally only come out to 4.07%. So you have to determine how much any extra benefits would be worth to you. If you do decide on Florida, look on the areas around Millenia and Dr. Phillips.
