What is a popular and safe student exchange program?

What is the best city in USA to go in a student exchange program?

• I'm a brazilian student and i wanna go to your country in a student exchange program next year, this time i'm in doubt between this three cities: Boston, Chicago and Denver. Which one you think is the best for a student like me?

  Each city is interesting in its own right. Boston is in the NE and is a very old city. It's famous for the Boston Tea Party which was the beginning of the Revolutionary War back in the 1700s, so you can see how old it is. There should be lots of historical sites there. Plus it's a nice modern city, very pretty. As far as snow, since the other poster mentioned that, all three cities get their fair share. Boston is very far North, and they get a bunch. Chicago is a huge city and is probably the closest thing you'll come to a New York City sort of atmosphere out of those three choices. There are big skyscrapers and great food, like the famous Chicago style pizza. It's known as the windy city for obvious reasons. It's also super far North and is very cold. Denver is another nice place with lots of snow. There are some very rich people there-- not that everyone there is, but there are plenty. Colorado is known as ski country, and lots of people vacation there. So really it all just depends on what it is you're looking for. I honestly don't have a preference for any of the three. The only thing I will say is that the accent in Boston may be a bit difficult for you to understand at first with English not being your native language. But the longer you're there, the more you'll get used to it. They don't really pronounce their R's. That's the only deterrent I can really see for Boston.
