What is the best oceanfront hotel in Myrtle beach?

Best hotel to stay in while vactioning at Myrtle Beach, SC?

  • family activities? best place to eat?

  • Answer:

I live here in Myrtle Beach. If you are looking to stay near the pavillion (which it just opened for the season for it's last year :() Look into the Sea Mist or Coral Reef. I live closer to Surfside beach which is family oriented and may be cheaper, but you'd have to drive to the pavillion. We have an alligator adcenture that I heard is interesting (I have my own alligator adventure in my pond in my backyard) it is located near barefoot landing. Murrels Inlet has good food. Nance's has the best oysters and Dead Dog Saloon has the best everything. Tourists seem to always want to go to the Themed retuarants like Olive Garden and Lonestar Steakhouse. Chuck's Steakhouse is very good and if you like Mexican go to El Cerro Grande. They have cheap lunches. Make sure to take a walk through Broadway at the BEach. There is a ton of things to do there. They have the Imax theater and Magic Quest and Ripley's Aquarium. That is located on 17 By-pass almost straight up from the pavillion. If you enjoy seafood you may also want to check out Calabash, just across the border in North Carolina, absolutely great restaurants there at very affordable prices!
