Spring Break Roadtrip destinations?

  • me and my friends want to go on a road trip somewhere for spring break. We have like 8-12 people. We live in NYC and want to get away from it!!! Also we want to stay away from the mainstream, typical spring break beach party. We were going to go to Lake George in upstate NY, but the by the end of april it is still pretty cold for going to a lake...especially a northern one. We can't travel out to Cali or anywhere far like that because we only have a week. Also our budget is like $300 a person, with a goal of 8 ppl. Where are some good places to go, that we can have a nice long drive getting there and still have time to hang out....but a place thats fun to hangout NO PLANES or CRUISES, we want a road trip, and they are too much money
