Where should I go on an international vacation?

Where should we go on vacation???

  • I live in the mountains of North Carolina, in the northwest corner of the state. My husband and I take several vacations every year. We take one small, one night vacation in spring, a one week vacation in the summer, and 3-4 night vacation in the fall. Where should we go for our spring vacation? It needs to be somewhere close... We don't want to drive more than four hours, since we are only staying one night. Can anyone suggest a fun or historical place we should go for our vacation that isn't too far from here? We don't want to do Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge... We went there last year. Does anyone have any good experiences they can share about a vacation in this area? Thanks!

    Have you visited much of North Carolina, such as the southeastern beaches? (I think they would be about four hours away from you) A great area to relax in, as well as shop and explore history.

you already live in a vacation spot if you were born and raised here, try arizona or new mexico you will find them vastly different to get there, simply go to i-40 and head west i am in nc but have lived all over incl az + nm there is way too much stuff to list try googling bill overton on the arizona road. he made a 30 year career of visiting things in az and never hit the same one twice. his show was on once a week at that i suggest starting on i-10 in se az, detour i-19 to nogales and back, tucson, phoenix, and follow i-17 north from there, or vice versa. i-17 connects to i-40 in flagstaff
