I just asked a question about wheather to visit the USA despite the attitude of US immigration officers?

I have been to the USA 3 times since 9/11 and yeah the immigration staff are strict but if you want to go then you have to put up with it.

because most of us look at a foreigner ( like the ones that were responsible for 9/11) and we see all ppl like that as terrorists,no matter what ppl may think/say,we do think that ,and it is in the back of ppls minds,whether or not they want to admit it. mainly because 9/11 was the worst terristic attack we have seen in our lifetime. in short, the "tourists" we had, BOMBED OUR BUILDINGS AND TERRORIZED OUR NATION!!!

quit yelling. and don't group all americans, since not all of us are think the same. some of us are actually more cultured, educated, and open-minded. the same ones that take vacations outside of the united states (well, except for new york city, miami, los angeles, and san francisco, which are more accepting of everyone). i cannot apologize for the rude replies from ignorant folks. but you have to understand that they have issues with themselves, and have to take it out on others. basic psychological profile. and to hopefully answer your question, the procedure for visiting the US is not as difficult as it sounds.

Maybe you don't realise this, but on the whole America is more of a hated country (by terrorists) than Britain or Spain and are more likely to be attacked by terrorists. Chill down why don't you? If you don't have enough patience to even get into America, I don't know how you are going to survive when you get here....considering we are all just a bunch of "ignorant yanks" And, if you get hostile questions on yahoo!answers can you blame us? Everyone on here (from foreign countries) is always going on about how stupid and horrible we are....wouldn't you get angry sometimes to?

The procedures in place are ever evolving. They're even freaky about liquids now, like water bottles. My advice is to take it with a smile and expect it if you're from any country outside of the U.S.. Suprisingly, Europeans and in particular the English will get a thorough once over BECAUSE of the london bombings and the recent arrests of plotters. I liken it to a hernia exam...I don't like it but it has to be done.

Careful dude I am English but have Emmigrated to America and some things are a pain in the butt for even Americans. This Country is Very Large and isolated from the rest of the world . Preventive measures for doing anything is not easy for any country. Problem is ? Due to the size of America it is 10x as hard to prevent while being a lot more vulnerable. The 911 comment was not a good move on your part. Getting over it , will never happen. Comments like that only show how much you really care about yourself before others.

ermmmm...OK Try being white, anglo-saxon protestant, middle aged and middle class. it works for me, I have no problem with US immigration

America thinks only in terms of - I , Our & US pity they don't realise that the only true native Americans are the descendants of the cherokees , apache , sian (note i do not call them indians because that label was given to them when an explorer discovered America and thought it was India !) I wonder if it should be made law that Americans must apply for passports in the country of their descent before being allowed to travel ?
